Hi David,

No doubt you're settled back into German life again, although I'm sure you'll still be smoking shisha & sipping ahwa by the fire. Your photos are stunning, you are really talented. Are you guys still keen to come to NZ this year? It would be great to see you down this way, I know you would love it here.

Have you been in touch with Bakri or anyone from Siwa? I would love to know how everybody is but they are too damn slack to use this site!! Do you ever call Bakri & have you got his phone number? What's he doing now? I hope he doesn't think Cleo & Pat have forgotten all the wonderful things he did for us in Siwa. He's a true desert angel.

I haven't got any plans to return yet, although I'd love to. I give anything to gaze at the desert landscape again! But that's not to say I don't love NZ! The native bush here is amazing, plus there's no dangerous animals so it's perfectly safe to sleep under the stars.

I never had much luck finding that music that you gave Bakri. I tried downloading 'Desert Blues' but didn't recognise any of the tracks. Let me know if you think of any more headings I can search under. There was some really funky stuff that Bakri always said was by a famous Libyan guy. Do you know his name?

So do you hear from Ruth at all? Did she get her book published in the end? I'd love to read it someday.

Our tour company is ready to go. Exciting to have big goals & be paving a future for ourselves.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi & let you know that I think this site is fantastic, even if the Siwans are taking a while to catch on!

Take care & say hi to Jutta.

Love Pat
